Sakura’s journey began in 1940, led by Mr. Suekichi Nakaya, a Japanese immigrant who arrived in Brazil in the early 20th century. From the very beginning, the company stood out for producing soy sauce (shoyu) and soybean paste (miso), two traditional staples of Japanese cuisine that, over time, became essential items on Brazilian tables.
